After a blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers, who were considered by many to be the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season, the Baltimore Ravens suddenly have a lot of people riding their bandwagon. But quarterback Lamar Jackson seems intent on ignoring that praise.

During a press conference this week, Lamar Jackson addressed the sudden shift in fans and media paying attention to his team, making it clear that the team is just trying to keep “a level head” despite the surging expectations.

“Keeping a level head is the most important thing for us right now, because now the narrative is changing,” Jackson said, via a transcript from the team according to Pro Football Talk. “It was just, ‘This team is . . . The Ravens; we don’t know about the Ravens.’ Now it’s, ‘Oh, they’re the No. 1 team.’ So, we’re not paying [any] mind to that. I feel like that’s bait — that’s clickbait. And like I said, we’re trying to make it to February, so we’re going to take it a game at a time.”

The Ravens now have the best record in the league and are playing better than any other team in the NFL right now. We’ll have to see if they can keep it up.
