The Baltimore Ravens were victims of a controversial call in overtime on Sunday afternoon when rookie receiver Zay Flowers appeared to be hit by a defender on a crucial fourth down before the ball got to him, but not flag was thrown. But star quarterback Lamar Jackson doesn’t seem to think it’s the reason the team lost the game.

During his postgame press conference, Lamar Jackson made it clear that even though the Ravens turned the ball over as a result of that call and the Indianapolis Colts kicked a game-winning field goal, the Ravens had plenty of other chances to win the game.

“We had plenty of opportunities in the game to finish strong, but it is what it is,” Jackson said in his press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “[We] live to fight another day.”

Jackson made it clear that he puts more blame on the offense than anything else, saying the defense “did great today.”

“Like I said, we had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, especially when our defense did a great job at stopping those guys,” Jackson said. “[We had] great field position [and] we didn’t move the ball at all. That ticked me off. It ticked all of us. We like to finish the job.

“The defense did great today. They always do great, but especially today giving us that opportunity to finish the game and we didn’t.”

The Ravens will look to bounce back next week with a game against the Cleveland Browns.
