The Los Angeles Rams are in the market for a new kicker as they officially cut Brett Maher this week after he missed three kicks in the team’s 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it looks like the team is considering a long-time NFL veteran to replace him.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams brought in a group of free agent kickers for a workout as they look for their next starting kicker. And according to a report from league insider Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, one of those players included longtime Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby.

“The #Rams are working out a group of kickers today, including former #Packers mainstay Mason Crosby, sources say. Crosby’s entire 16-year career to this point was spent in Green Bay. For the first time, kicking in another uniform is a possibility,” Garafolo said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, Crosby has not necessarily signed with the team yet – this is simply a workout to determine whether or not the team would like to sign him. But it’s pretty significant news that the longtime Packers star is considering continuing his career elsewhere.
