The Los Angeles Rams saw the emergence of star wide receiver Cooper Kupp this past season, becoming one of the best receivers in all of football.
The Super Bowl MVP had an incredible 145 receptions for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2021.
It was much needed for the team considering the unfortunate season-ending torn ACL that Robert Woods suffered in November.
The blow of losing Woods was softened due to the signing of Odell Beckham Jr. last season, who had himself an impressive playoff run before himself tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl.
The signing of Allen Robinson this offseason has left some questions for the Rams receiving core. But it appears that the Rams have made a decision on Woods moving forward.
It was reported on Saturday that the Rams will trade Robert Woods to the Tennessee Titans in return for a 2023 sixth-round pick.
It’s a 2023 6th rounder to the #Rams for WR Robert Woods, source said. https://t.co/yzLVchdMA0

This trade has got the NFL world talking, with many surprised at the return that the Rams got for a player the caliber of Woods.
Not even a 6th in this years draft but next year! 31 teams in the NFL should have made that deal. https://t.co/Kq9RIlqOnV

Terrific deal for the #Titans with this trade
Woods is better than a 6th rounder in next years draft @NashSportsRadio https://t.co/bFFGjhz4XG

That's a steal IF he can get back to being himself after injury https://t.co/NY7VxJeFPB

On the surface, it certainly seems like a great deal for the Titans.
He should be a great fit for the Titans alongside star wide receiver A.J Brown following Julio Jones’ release from the team.
Woods does come with a $13.5 million cap hit, which can certainly be a reason that the Rams were shopping him.
It remains to be seen if or when Woods will be able to come back next season, or if he will be able to have the same impact as he did previously with the Rams.
That being said, this certainly seems like a low-risk move for the Titans that could pay off huge for next season.
