New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones has struggled mightily in recent weeks, but it appears that he was at least good enough during the team’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders to remain the starter this week when the team hosts the Buffalo Bills this weekend.
During his press conference this weekend, New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien was asked whether or not he expected Mac Jones to be the starting quarterback this week, and he had a pretty blunt and clear response, simply replying “Yeah. Yes.”
Obviously, Jones has struggled in recent weeks, throwing five interceptions and no touchdowns in the past three games for the New England Patriots. However, the offense at least performed better this week as the team was able to put up 17 points against the Raiders when they managed just three points across the previous two weeks combined.
Given Jones’ struggles, it’s a big announcement that the team still seems to be moving forward with him as the starting quarterback this week, and the NFL world had plenty to say about the announcement on social media as a result.

While he still continues to make careless turnovers every single game. "We preach ball security here." JOKE.

Who else is capable? Bill won’t start anyone else because he needs to preserve Mac as the scapegoat. If he starts anyone else we will all clearly see the problem is Bill.

There's a choice otherwise?

The Bills have one of the strongest secondaries in the entire league so far this season, so it will be interesting to see how Jones performs.
