The Washington Commanders were surprisingly upset on Sunday by the New York Giants. This prompted a tweet that has since gone viral from Commanders minority owner Magic Johnson that certainly caught the attention of the NFL world.

For those not familiar with Johnson’s social media activity, Johnson often tweets after the results of games in a number of leagues like the NBA, MLB and NFL. All of his tweets share a common trend. Nobody states the obvious quite like Magic.

He did just that after the Commanders’ loss on Sunday, tweeting out some of the stats from the game.

“Wow! My Washington Commanders turned the ball over six times today and gave the Giants 24 points off turnovers. We lost 31-19.”

Some fans got a good laugh out of Johnson’s tweet, claiming that he just looked at the box score of the game without even watching the game.

Commanders fans saw this tweet differently, pleading for Johnson along with the rest of his ownership group to make some big changes within the organization.

It looked like the Commanders could be a dark-horse NFC contender after a 2-0 start to the season. Since then, things have taken a pretty drastic turn, as this latest loss drops them to 4-7 on the year.

There were already rumors heading into the year that head coach Ron Rivera could be on the hot seat. And with the new ownership in Washington, it could be only a matter of time until we see the Commanders part ways with Rivera.
