The NFL Draft is fast approaching with a little over a month left until the first round begins. The 2022 draft class is an interesting one and many folks around the NFL still have serious questions about who the top quarterback prospect is in the class.

Liberty Flames quarterback Malik Willis was the talk of Senior Bowl practices with an eye-popping performance back in February. His impressive performance continued into the NFL Draft Combine, with many thinking that he was distancing himself from the fellow quarterbacks in his draft class.

Willis had his pro day at Liberty on Tuesday and certainly did not disappoint those that were looking for him to stand out. The quarterback made a number of extremely impressive throws during his workout, which had numerous draft scouts in attendance, including this one that looks like it could be directly out of a Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen highlight video.

This was far from the only impressive throw that Willis made on Tuesday, as he had a number of similar deep balls where he hit the receiver in stride.

His performance certainly got the NFL world talking about the seemingly sky-high potential that the QB possesses.

While a pro day can only tell you so much about how a quarterback will fare in the NFL, this is about as good a performance that Willis could have put on.

While some teams have made moves that patch up their quarterback situations like the Atlanta Falcons signing Marcus Mariota and the Pittsburgh Steelers signing Mitch Trubisky, it is still very possible that either of them could still end up drafting Willis with their first-round pick.

Other teams that seem like a possible destination could be the Carolina Panthers, with the impending departure of Sam Darnold and their reluctance to trade for other options at quarterback.

With this pro-day performance, it seems more and more likely that Willis will be the top quarterback selected in April and that NFL teams may even try to trade up in order to get him.
