There once was a time that Melvin Goron was among the top running backs in the entire NFL, but that certainly wasn’t the case this year as the longtime NFL starter and two-time Pro Bowl running back finished the season as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. And even though he earned a Super Bowl ring with the team, he’s pretty honest about how he got it.
This week, Melvin Gordon was asked about the difference between playing on the Chiefs and playing with the other teams he’s been a part of throughout his NFL career – the Charges and the Denver Broncos. And Gordon got hilariously honest in his response.

“The difference? Oh, the difference is I didn’t do s—,” Gordon said with a big laugh. “I got carried! I got carried, baby!”
Gordon has been pretty blunt and honest about his journey from Pro Bowl star to practice squad player, so these comments aren’t necessarily surprising. But the NFL world still had plenty to say about this hilariously honest admission.
Melvin Gordon kept it 💯

While Gordon may have been carried to this Super Bowl championship, he won’t be too upset about it. After all, his Super Bowl ring will be just as big and shiny as everyone else’s.
