The Miami Dolphins had their best season in 15 years in 2023 as the team finished with an 11-6 record and made the playoffs for the second year in a row. But if they’re going to repeat that success next season, it’s going to take a lot, because the Dolphins are losing a lot of key contributors from last season’s squad.

As NFL analyst and commentator Ari Meirov pointed out on social media, the Miami Dolphins have now lost eight starters or key contributors to free agency, including superstar defensive players Christian Wilkins and Xavien Howard.

“The #Dolphins now have lost…

DT Christian Wilkins
G Robert Hunt
CB Xavien Howard
LB Andrew Van Ginkel
S Brandon Jones
LB Jerome Baker
LB Emmanuel Ogbah
CB Keion Crossen,” Meirov said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is pretty horrible news for the team as they try to maintain the success that they saw last season, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

Obviously, the Dolphins will still have a few key players returning, like Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and the rest of the top offensive skill players. But they will be missing a lot of talent elsewhere.
