Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) takes the field before the start of the game against the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Jan. 8, 2023.

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been amongst the best receivers in football since coming into the league in 2016. Becoming one of the best receivers means you have to have a ton of confidence in yourself, and he certainly has that after making a wild prediction about how this upcoming season will go.

Hill was asked on his podcast what some of his goals were ahead of the upcoming 2023 season, and he certainly made it clear that he is aiming for the stars.

Not only did Hill say that he plans to record 2,000 receiving yards next season, he also claimed that the Dolphins will win the Super Bowl.

“I will break 2,000 yards next year bro,” said Hill. “And all I’m gonna say is 2,000 yards is on my bucket list to get before I leave this league. Y’all think the Cheetah is gonna leave without doing something he promised himself? 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl, we getting that, believe that.”

Both a Super Bowl and a 2,000-yard season as a wide receiver are hard enough to accomplish on their own, Doing both in the same season is certainly a bold prediction, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

In Hill’s defense, he did have the best individual stat line of his career last season in his first year in Miami. The seven-time Pro Bowler recorded a career-high 1,710 receiving yards on 119 catches last year.

If Hill is indeed able to break 2,000 receiving yards in a season, he will have accomplished a feat that no other NFL player has ever done. Former Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson owns the record for the most receiving yards in a season, recording 1,964 yards back in 2012.
