Mike Evans made history Sunday with his 10th consecutive 1,000-yard season.
After a 162 receiving-yard game in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 21-18, win over the Carolina Panthers, Evans admitted the feat came at a price. Especially after this 75-yard touchdown.
Panthers-Bucs just turned into a shootout!

“I was tired, I went to the sideline, I had to throw up a little bit …,” Evans said.
What went through Mike Evans’ mind after that 75-yard touchdown knowing he was on the verge of 1,000 receiving yards? “I was tired, I went to the sideline, I had to throw up a little bit…” 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/ctQHJMQ9QJ

Wait, what?
Yep.
The four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver had to relieve himself after, but it didn’t appear to phase his teammate Chris Godwin who confirmed to reporters that’s just something Evans does from time to time.
“That’s Mike’s deal,” Godwin said at his locker following the game. He even said he’s seen Evans puke a bunch of times.
Godwin wasn’t surprised of Evans feat, however.
“There was no doubt in my mind he was gonna get it,” he said.
Evans was the second wide receiver to get 1,000 yards in 10 straight seasons. Hall of Famer Jerry Rice also did it in 11 seasons from 1986-96.
“I don’t know what more you can say. He’s done this for 10 years now,” head coach Todd Bowles said via NFL.com. “Over 60 catches 10 years in a row. Over 1,000 yards 10 years in a row. You know he’s getting the ball and everyone is trying to stop him, and he makes plays over and over. It’s a credit to him and his work ethic. The way he approaches the game, it’s unbelievable.”
