The Minnesota Vikings did not play their starters in their final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. However, that didn’t stop veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins from garnering attention from the sidelines, sporting a bold new look that fans certainly took notice of.

Cousins typically shows off a clean-shaven look or has a little bit of stubble.

That wasn’t the case on Saturday, as he sported a handlebar mustache that fans were clearly not expecting to see.

This led to fans making a number of jokes regarding Cousins’ new look, while some others absolutely loved the handlebar mustache.

This new look begs the question. Did Kirk Cousins lose some sort of bet to try out this bold look?

Regardless, it is certainly a statement, and it will be interesting to see if this is a look that he keeps as the Vikings prepare for the first game of the regular season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Vikings are looking to replicate their regular season success from last season, while hopefully showing up much more in the postseason should they get there. Minnesota finished with a 13-4 record in the regular season last year, but lost in the Wild Card round of the postseason to the New York Giants.

Maybe this mustache will help the Vikings recover some mojo from what has been a rough preseason for them. The team lost all three of their preseason games.
