The San Francisco 49ers fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game in a contest the Niners had to play without a quarterback after both Brock Purdy and backup Josh Johnson were knocked from the game with injuries. This week, the Niners get a rematch, and star defensive end Nick Bosa sound confident.

During a radio appearance on KNBR on Tuesday, Nick Bosa had some high praise for the Philadelphia Eagles heading into the game, but expressed that he is “extremely confident this go around” as his team heads into the NFC title game rematch.

“I think they’re really good, and they’ve found ways to win this year,” Bosa said according to 49ers Webzone. “So it’s just going to be another game, another game where we have to execute. And I’m extremely confident this go-around. I was confident last year, but some things early in the game definitely hurt us. But we’re just excited for another opportunity.”

Bosa did mostly downplay the “rematch” narrative, saying the two teams are “at different spots and in different conditions” than they were last time they met, but he still acknowledges that it is “a huge game” for both teams in terms of the playoff picture.

We’ll have to see who comes out on top.
