When the Baltimore Ravens signed former All-Pro receiver Odell Beckham Jr. during the offseason, the expectation was that he could be a dominant receiver for the team that they’ve been missing over the years. Through the first few weeks of the season, that hasn’t exactly happened, but Beckham wants to change that.
Odell Beckham Jr. has just seven catches for 79 yards and no touchdowns in three appearances this year, missing two games with injury. It’s not what he or the team was expecting from him this year, but it sounds like he wants to get back on track during this weekend’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“How can I get back on track?” Beckham said according to Pro Football Talk. “How can I be the person that i know I’m capable of being? And I would absolutely love for that to start this Sunday. You know, knowing that, again, it’s a long journey, long season and there’s so many opportunities for us to take advantage of. So I’m looking forward to it and praying that, you know, this is exactly what I would hope it would be.”
We’ll have to see if Beckham can turn things around and emerge as the dominant receiver the Ravens signed him to be.
