It appears that the Carolina Panthers may have made a decision on who they will pick at No. 1.

As most know, the Panthers have been trying to decide who they will pick at quarterback, CJ Stroud or Bryce Young. And according to ESPN’s Chris Mortenson,  Panthers have made their choice despite what other NFL experts have to say.

“Bryce Young is the pick. … They all love Bryce Young,” Mortensen said. “I think I’ll quote Adam Schefter, who said this reminds him of when the 49ers moved up all the way to No. 3 with intentions of drafting Mac Jones and then changed their minds at the last minute and drafted Trey Lance. That has not worked out for the 49ers. I think the Panthers were on Bryce Young from the start and will stick with him when it’s time to turn in that card.”

It’s clear that Panthers management is in love with Young. Everything from his play, leadership skills, and off-the-field personality, he has won over the owners.

Both ESPN draft experts Mel Kiper and Todd McShay liked both quarterbacks but felt Stroud had the advantage over Young mainly because of height and build. But if Mort is correct, Young will be the first Alabama player under Nick Saban to be chosen No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft.
