It’s a familiar story: The New England Patriots sputtered on offense, again, Sunday against the New York Giants.
Once again, starting quarterback Mac Jones looked ineffective.

Jones’ showing led the Patriots to go with backup QB Bailey Zappe to start the second half. The results were … mixed at best. Zappe led the Patriots on an 11-play touchdown drive to start the second half.
Then, two possessions later, Zappe made a terrible decision, throwing into triple coverage for an ugly interception.

It’s the fourth time this season, and the second game in a row, the Pats have benched Jones. The Patriots’ offensive woes go much deeper than Jones (or Zappe, or any other quarterback), but he makes a convenient scapegoat.

I feel like the patriots are telling mac jones to be bad. It’s like he’s intentionally playing himself out of his position. Maybe belichick promised him a guaranteed 10 year contract to be the back up if he plays so bad we get Caleb Williams
