As the NFL trade deadline nears, it looks like we already have a pretty major trade between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tennessee Titans.

As first reported by league insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Philadelphia Eagles are acquiring former All-Pro defensive back Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans to help bolster their secondary as they gear up for yet another postseason run.

“The Tennessee Titans are trading All-Pro defensive back Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles will be sending the Titans a 2024 5th and 6th rounder and safety Terrell Edmunds, per multiple league sources,” Russini said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

It’s a pretty major trade for both teams, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

This is a second major trade between the Titans and the Eagles in recent year as the Titans sent star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Eagles in return for a first-round pick last spring – a move that has been heavily criticized as Brown puts up big numbers with the Eagles.

We’ll have to see how this trade works out for the Eagles.
