Over the past several years, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been one of the most consistently successful coaches in the NFL, and he’s done it once again this season.
As NFL analyst Ari Meirov points out on social media, the Steelers clinched a winning record this season with a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, meaning that head coach Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in any of his 17 seasons with the team.
“The #Steelers improve to 9-7 on the season with a win over Seattle. Mike Tomlin has now been the HC of the #Steelers for 17 seasons and has still never had a losing season,” Meirov said in a post on X, the social media that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is a pretty insane stat that Tomlin has kept alive for yet another year, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
I seen enough man. he’s top 3 still, getting that roster to over .500 is generational work https://t.co/aheI0YvaSx

A tradition unlike any other: the Steelers stepping up their level of play to make sure Mike Tomlin keeps his winning season streak alive. Now if only they could do this and make the postseason https://t.co/zM2MO2wbQo

Holding a HC job for 17 seasons is a major accomplishment by itself! https://t.co/KTFlL6iH4J

With the win over the Seahawks this week, the Steelers are still very much alive in the AFC playoff race, but they’ll need a win over the Baltimore Ravens this week to keep those hopes alive, which will obviously be a tall task.
