Garrett Wilson is the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, so naturally, there’s going to be praise thrown his way. And while Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb haven’t been with the Jets for very long, both have been amazed at the sheer talent of the 22-year-old wide receiver.
The hype is real.
Rodgers has already compared Wilson to Davante Adams. Cobb took it further, comparing Wilson to a combination of Adams and another Pro Bowl wide receiver.
“Just watching [Garrett Wilson] in practice, seeing the way he moves, he reminds me a lot of Emmanuel Sanders and Davante Adams, if you combine those two,” Cobb said during a conversation with Kay Adams at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. “Now, I’m not projecting him to become that, because I don’t know, he’s gotta take it the way he wants to take it. But, I love a lot of faith in watching him grow. He set a standard for himself this past year…He’s gonna have opportunities and Aaron’s gonna get him the ball. He’s got a group around him that’s gonna help him grow.”

Adams was left speechless, and her reaction to Cobb’s bold statement said it all.
“That’s love!” Wilson wrote in response to Cobb on Twitter. “Everyday we on the chase, [and] I’m glad were on the same team for it.”
