The Baltimore Ravens were dealt a huge blow Friday. ESPN NFL insider Adam Scheffer, running back JK Dobbins will be out the next 4-6 weeks due to a knee injury.
“Ravens’ standout RB J.K. Dobbins is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery next week that would sideline him 4-6 weeks, per sources.”

That is a devastating hit to a team who has a 3-3 record going into this weekend. Although the Ravens’ offense isn’t struggling much, it does not help that Dobbins will be gone for basically the rest of the regular season.
Dobbins had 123 yards and one touchdown on the season but his experience in the backfield will be missed.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh explained what he believes happen to Dobbins.
“J.K.’s knee tightened up on him,” Harbaugh said earlier this week. “He just didn’t feel like he had that explosiveness in the second half. I think he might’ve landed on it at some point.”
But luckily for the team, they will start veteran Kenyan Drake in Dobbs’s position. Drake was the first Ravens running back this season to rush for over 100 yards.
“Once you get him started and heading downhill, he’s really effective,” Harbaugh said about the effectiveness of Drake earlier this week. “He has some speed and some explosiveness.”
Justin Hill will also be called on to help the team. Hill has been averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
Hopefully, the Ravens’ offense won’t miss a beat with Dobbins being out.
