The Baltimore Ravens are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day in a matchup that many are viewing as a potential Super Bowl preview. But Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson doesn’t see the matchup that was just yet.
Both the Ravens and the 49ers sit at 11-3 on the season, the best record in each of their respective conferences. Considering this, it is natural for fans to see these two teams as Super Bowl caliber.
Jackson doesn’t particularly disagree, but he did state to reporters who brought this up that it is far too early in his opinion to even mention the Super Bowl.
“The Super Bowl isn’t until February,” said Jackson in a video shared on social media by Ari Meirov. “We’re in December right now. We gotta focus on Monday night. I’m not worried about what people are saying.”

This is an answer that Ravens fans likely love hearing, especially because the team needs to win each regular season game to clinch a No. 1 seed in the AFC for the postseason, which is something that would obviously make their path to a potential Super Bowl much easier.
Taking things one game at a time is the right approach for this Ravens team right now. And beating a team like the 49ers on Monday night would certainly be a huge statement to the rest of the league.
Right now, the Ravens are not getting the respect of the oddsmakers ahead of this matchup. The 49ers are currently favored by 5.5 points on BetMGM in this highly anticipated matchup.
