Super Bowl LVIII featured a rendition of the national anthem of the United States by country music legend Reba McEntire before kickoff.

Fans tuning in were thoroughly entertained throughout.

McEntire was not the only big star to perform before the start of the game. Before her performance, Post Malone delivered a rendition of “America The Beautiful.”

This performance from Post Malone was also incredibly well received, with many fans praising him on social media.

Moments later, McEntire came out for “The Star-Spangled Banner” in a performance that will likely be talked about for quite some time.

Overall, fans were pleased with McEntire’s performance, taking to social media to praise her.

Chiefs star defensive tackle Chris Jones was seemingly impressed by McEntire in particular, as he was moved to tears midway through the performance.

Those in the gambling space also had quite the experience when it came to McEntire’s performance. The over/under for the time of the National Anthem for her sat at 90.5 seconds on the majority of sportsbooks.

The total just barely went over, thanks to some improvisation from McEntire at the very end of her set.

Days before the performance, McEntire hilariously admitted in an interview with People Magazine that she had been practicing signing the song in the shower.

“I’ve been singing the national anthem in the shower and when we get in the car.”

It sure seems like all of the practice ahead of the big game has paid off quite well.
