Ron Rivera Commanders Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Commanders suffered a lopsided loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday afternoon, falling 45-10 in the Thanksgiving Day game. With the loss, the Commanders have now lost eight of their past 10 games, leading some to believe that head coach Ron Rivera could be on the hot seat. But Rivera doesn’t seem focused on that.

During his postgame press conference on Thursday, Ron Rivera was asked questions regarding his job security with the Washington Commanders, but he didn’t seem all that interested in talking about it or focusing on it.

“I’ve told you before I’m not worried about anything. All I’m going to do is do my job and see how things go. That’s the only thing I can do,” Rivera said after the game according to ESPN.

While fans might want a change at head coach, ESPN reports that most players don’t seem to want the team to relieve Rivera of his duties.

“Multiple players have said privately that Rivera has not lost the locker room and want to see him remain as their coach for the remainder of the season,” John Keim wrote for ESPN.

Whether he’s fired or not, it’s clear that the team is not exactly living up to expectations this season. We’ll have to see if the team can turn things around.
