The Denver Broncos are looking for a new head coach, and they may have found their man.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the Broncos are set to interview Dallas Cowboys coach Dan Quinn for their vacancy.

“The Broncos have requested permission to speak with Cowboys DC Dan Quinn, source said. One of their top candidates last year, one of their top candidates this year,” Rapoport reported.

Even though quarterback Russell Wilson plays on the other side of the football, there may be nobody more important in the Broncos’ locker room than Wilson. He offered a ringing endorsement of Quinn, with whom he worked during their time together with the Seattle Seahawks.

“Dan Quinn, I know him personally, too. He’s an amazing coach as well, an amazing person, an amazing soul, great leader,” Wilson said, according to George Stoia III.

Wilson added that “some great candidates” were also in the mix, including current Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.

“I think that the great thing is we [have] the right people leading us,” Wilson said. “Obviously [Owner/CEO] Greg [Penner]. I know he’s helped lead the way, and [General Managr] George [Paton]. He’s one of the best general managers in the game.”

The Broncos finished 5-12 on the season.
