The New Orleans Saints suddenly find themselves in need of help at the running back position after superstar running back Alvin Kamara was hit with a three-game suspension from the NFL this week and Eno Benjamin tore his Achilles. And it looks like they could turn to former NFL rushing leader Kareem Hunt to fill the role.

According to a report from NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the New Orleans Saints are bringing in Kareem Hunt for a visit following news of the suspension of Alvin Kamara.

“Source: Kareem Hunt is making a free agent visiting to the #Saints. The former rushing leader could be headed to the NFL South,” Fowler said in a tweet on Monday morning.

The move would help bolster the running backs room with Kamara out for multiple games to start the season, and the NFL world had plenty to say about the possibility on social media.

Hunt was widely seen as one of the most dominant running backs in the league a few seasons ago as he led the entire league in rushing during the 2017 season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

He had a dropoff in production the past two years with the Browns, but it will be interesting to see if he can return to form this season.
