Playing in Buffalo, New York, the Buffalo Bills are certainly no stranger to playing NFL games in extreme snow and winter conditions, but the winter weather expected to hit the city this weekend ahead of Sunday’s game between the Cleveland Browns and the Buffalo Bills is predicted to be extreme even by their standards.

According to recent forecasts, a “crippling, even life threatening” winter storm is projected to hit Buffalo before Sunday’s game that could result in four to six feet of snow in the city as well as the potential for 30-mile-per-hour winds.

A SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW EVENT is expected to happen to the lee of Lakes Erie and Ontario including Buffalo and Watertown, NY Thursday night through Sunday. 4-6 FEET of snow possibly by Sunday. Crippling, even life threatening LES band will materialize by late Thur night!” famous meteorologist Reed Trimmer shared on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

If it happens, it will certainly produce an absolutely wild football game and the NFL world had plenty to say about the possibility on Twitter.

There’s a chance that the game is moved or postponed as a result of the extreme weather. But if it’s not, it could make for one wild football game.
