With the NFL’s conference championship games wrapped up, the matchup for Super Bowl LVIII is officially set as the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will face off on the NFL’s biggest stage in a couple of weeks. And with the matchup officially set, so are the betting lines.

Shortly after the conclusion of the NFC Championship game on Sunday night, both the FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks released their opening betting lines for the upcoming Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, and it looks like the Niners will be slight favorites in the game.

On the FanDuel sportsbook, the Niners opened as 2.5-point favorites in the game. Meanwhile, on DraftKings, the 49ers opened as 2-point favorites in the game – a half-point lower than on FanDuel. On both sportsbooks, the game total opened at 47.5 points.

The opening line certainly led to a lot of reactions from the NFL world as people shared their opinions.

It’s worth noting that the Niners are 0-3 against the Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. Mahomes also improved to 9-3 overall as an underdog in his NFL career with the win over the Ravens on Sunday.

We’ll have to see how this game plays out.
