For a short time, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots teammates Tom Brady and Antonio Brown used to be one of the most dynamic partnerships in the NFL.

However, that partnership came to a halt in 2022 against the New York Jets when Brown took off his pads and jersey in the middle of the game and trotted off the field, never to play in the NFL again.

Brown has taken several one-sided shots at Brady since then, and he took another one recently when he appeared on the podcast of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, It Needed to Be Said. He told his side of the story of how their friendship came to an end.

“Tom called me like ‘Yo this week man the Jets man, they sweet man imma hit you with like 10 to 12.'” Brown said. “So, he gonna gas me up so you know me, that’s all I need to hear like yo you gonna throw me the ball, this is like me saying like I got a new crib like you know me, you know what I’m saying.”

Brown revealed Brady’s trainer refused to work with him during the week in preparation, and after not getting the targets he felt were promised him, he decided to pull the plug on his career.

“You don’t want to throw me the ball and you making me like I’m crazy, so, I was like, ‘I’m crazy … I’m out of here.'”

Brown hasn’t played in a game since.
