Just before the start of the 2022-23 NFL season, former All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon signed with the Tennessee Titans practice squad after he was released from the Kansas City Chiefs during the last round of cuts to trim the roster down to 52 players. But it looks like Gordon’s time in Tennessee is over.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Titans are parting ways with the former All-Pro wide receiver.

“The #Titans are releasing WR Josh Gordon off their practice squad, source said. He played in two games and did not record any stats,” Rapoport said in a Tweet.

The 31-year-old wide wide receiver was reinstated by the NFL last year following his latest suspension for drugs and substance abuse. Gordon ultimately signed with the Kansas City Chiefs where he appeared in just 12 games for the Chiefs, finishing the 2021 season with just five receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown.

The Titans were Gordon’s fourth NFL team since leaving the Cleveland Browns. He’s been given plenty of chances but has not been able to replicate his impressive 2013 season in which he earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors with the Browns while also leading the league in receiving yards.
