Future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday to condemn the ongoing violence in Israel and Gaza.

Brady condemned the “terrorist attacks” by Hamas that began last weekend and said he was “heartbroken” over the innocent lives lost in Israel and Gaza.

“There should be no gray area about condemning Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israeli citizens,” Brady wrote. “No human deserves this.

“I’m heartbroken for all the innocent lives lost in Israel and Gaza this week, heartbroken for the losses that are sure to follow. It’s horrifying to watch this violence continue to unfold with no indication of stopping.”

Brady went on to finish by writing, “My family and I will continue to pray for the families that find themselves in the middle of the tragedy.”

According to international reports, the ongoing war has claimed at least 2,700 lives on both sides of the conflict. Israel is currently bombing the Gaza Strip in an area with deaths surpassing 1,500. More than 1,300 Israelis died at the hands of Hamas in the deadliest assault on the country in nearly 50 years.

Brady last played in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2022 campaign.
