The New England Patriots have not been anywhere near as successful since the departure of legendary quarterback Tom Brady, and one particularly insane stat highlights just how hard the team has fallen off since left.

As NFL expert Albert Breer of The Monday Morning Quarterback points out, even though we’re just nine games into the 2023 NFL season, the New England Patriots have already matched the most losses Tom Brady ever suffered in a season as the starting quarterback of the Patriots.

“The most games Tom Brady ever lost in a season in 18 years as Patriots starting quarterback was seven—and that was in his third NFL season (2002).

It took these Patriots nine games to get to seven losses,” Breer said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this speaks to both how dominant Brady was during his time with the Patriots as well as to just how much the Patriots have been struggling this year – and really ever since Brady left the team.

The insane news that the Patriots have already matched the worst season Brady ever had as the team’s starter led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

The Patriots just haven’t been the same since Brady left, and that’s never been more evident than this season.
