Sunday afternoon’s game against the Detroit Lions certainly did not go the way the Jacksonville Jaguars hoped or expected as the team fell by a lopsided score of 40-10. And after the game, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence didn’t exactly hold back his thoughts on his team’s performance.

During his postgame press conference, Lawrence got very honest about the way his team played on Sunday afternoon, calling the loss “embarrassing.”

“I mean, that’s the word to describe it, it’s embarrassing,” Trevor Lawrence said according to Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union. “Everybody in that locker room feels that way too, just to – I mean, this is a playoff game for us and we go out there and laid down. Credit to them, those guys, those guys whooped us. . . . We’ve lost eight games this year, and never have I felt like we got embarrassed like we did today. That can’t happen. We’ve got more pride and work too hard to do that.”

The Jaguars are now 4-8 on the season. While they technically still have an outside shot at making a playoff run with the division-leading Tennessee Titans having only a 7-5 record, their playoff chances take a severe hit with every loss down the stretch.
