Trevor Lawrence has seen better days, and it appears to

Following a terrible start for the Jaguars against the Buccaneers, Jacksonville finished the second half down, 20-0. It didn’t get better in the second half, and it might have been due to injury.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported, citing sources, that the quarterback suffered a sprained right ankle after an MRI.

“It’s not believed to be a major injury to his throwing shoulder, but it’s unclear how this affects his availability this week,” Rapoport wrote on Twitter/X. “Lawrence has basically played through everything in 2023.”

Lawrence hasn’t been 100 percent healthy in recent weeks, but managed to continue his consecutive start streak that leads back to high school.

This is already have Lawrence suffered an injury during the Week 15 loss to the Ravens where he finished the game, but reported concussion-like symptoms. He cleared the league’s concussion protocol and missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He played at a limited capacity during Friday’s practice.

He was labeled “questionable” heading into the game.

Lawrence didn’t end up finishing Sunday’s game and was replaced in the fourth quarter by veteran C.J. Beathard after suffering the shoulder injury. Lawrence did say after the game that the injury isn’t anything major, but it has been bothering him.
