Kyle Rudolph, one of the all-time Minnesota Vikings greats, has announced his retirement after 12 seasons.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz announced the news Monday, saying Rudolph will retire as a Viking.

“2x Pro Bowl TE Kyle Rudolph tells me he’ll officially retire as a member of the Minnesota @Vikings organization,” Schultz tweeted. “Rudolph says the #Vikings will honor around their Week 3 game against the #Chargers. Should be a very special weekend for Kyle and his family.

Rudolph, 33, will work as a Big Ten analyst for Peacock and for Fox Sports as a radio host.

Rudolph is one of the most prolific receivers in Vikings history.He made two Pro Bowls, and ranks sixth on the team’s career list in catches (453) and touchdowns (48) and 11th in receiving yards (4,488).

After being released by the Vikings in early 2021, Rudolph caught on with the New York Giants for one season. He finished his career playing a limited role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022.
