There’s no question that former MVP Lamar Jackson is the starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens and is likely the team’s future at the position, even with current contract negotiations facing an “uphill battle” as the two sides try to work out an extension. But Jackson ever needs to miss a start, it sure looks like the Ravens will be in good hands with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley at the helm.
In two preseason games so far this year, Huntley has put up some absolutely ridiculous stats. The 24-year-old quarterback is 29-for-32 through the air, throwing for 238 yards and two touchdowns in two preseason wins against the Tennessee Titans and the Arizona Cardinals.
#Ravens talented backup QB Tyler Huntley is now 29 of 32 passing for 238 yards with 2 TDs in pre-season.
In a spot start vs the #Packers last season, Huntley had 3 total TDs and 288 yards
He's only 24 years old, making only 895k, A needy team should look at him over a Garoppolo pic.twitter.com/pza4wnkHfi

Huntley is a big reason why the Ravens are riding the most impressive preseason winning streak in NFL history, but his dominance isn’t limited to the preseason. Last year, Huntley had an extremely impressive regular season start against the Green Bay Packers in which he went 28-for-40 through the air for 288 yards and three total touchdowns.
Huntley is 24 years old and is entering just his third year in the league, so there’s still a chance he finds himself as a starter at some point in his career.
