Before the start of the 2023 NFL season, superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill made it clear that his goal was to become the first receiver in NFL history to eclipse 2,000 yards in a single season. And with 1,000 yards through just the first eight games of the season, he’s well on his way.

On Sunday afternoon, Tyreek Hill became the first wide receiver in the Super Bowl era to reach 1,000 receiving yards through his first eight games of the season. And he had a message for his doubters after the game.

“It feels great. God is great. I’ve been calling my shot since I came in this league,” Hill said according to Marcel Louis-Jaques of ESPN. “A lot of people doubted me, saying I couldn’t do this and do that, but it’s all about believing in yourself.”

Hill now has 1,014 yards on the season, putting him on pace to break the 2,000-yard mark in his 16th game of the season – with one game to spare.

We’ll have to see whether or not Hill is able to stay fully healthy and keep up this pace throughout the season. But the way things are looking so far, it seems like he’s going to etch his name in the record books.
