During Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver and MVP candidate Tyreek Hill suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for much of the game. And it sounds like his status is very much in doubt for this weekend’s game against the New York Jets, as well.
During his press conference on Friday afternoon, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced that Tyreek Hill did not practice with the team on Friday afternoon as he continues to deal with his ankle injury after he had not practiced all week.
Obviously, this is a pretty brutal announcement for Hill and the Dolphins as significantly lowers the chances that he will be able to play in Sunday’s game, and the NFL world had a lot to say about the announcement on social media.
If Tyreek doesn’t play & Sauce is on Waddle. I don’t see the Dolphins scoring more than 20. They may still win, but it’ll be bc of Mostert & Achane. https://t.co/ZfKr64wuwh

Does he really need to at this point? Just all "hike" and give him the ball.

Hill is officially listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game and will likely be a game-time decision.
It will be a big decision for the Dolphins whether or not to play Hill and risk further injury. On one hand, the Dolphins would like to make sure he’s healthy for a playoff run. But on the other hand, Hill is a crucial part of their offense and is on pace to become the first wide receiver in NFL history to put up more than 2,000 yards in a single season.
We’ll have to see what happens, but his status is very much in question.
