The Buffalo Bills will have edge rusher Von Miller on their active roster for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Bills announced they’ve activated Miller to their  53-man roster on Saturday in time for him to compete in their London game.

Miller told reporters on Friday that it was pretty likely that he would be able to play this weekend. It will be his first return to the field since tearing his ACL on Thanksgiving last year in Buffalo’s game against the Detroit Lions.

To make room for Miller, the Bills placed cornerback Tre’Davious White on injured reserve. White wouldn’t have played anyway as he tore his Achilles during last week’s win over Miami.

The team also elevated cornerback Ja’Marcus Ingram and defensive tackle Kendal Vickers from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

The news that Miller had been activated was met with a strong reaction on social media from the NFL world.

“Really happy for Von Miller. Awesome to watch him play,” said Zac Stevens.

“Von Miller is back,” said The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

“Von Miller returns from the second ACL surgery of his career. Chance to add more sacks to his first-ballot Hall of Fame career,” said Troy Renck.
