The Buffalo Bills weren’t exactly sure how long they would be without star pass rusher Von Miller to start the season with estimates last month that it could be until Week 6 before he’s ready to play. But it looks like it will be much, much sooner than that.

This week, Von Miller gave a big update on his injury, revealing that his knee is fully healed and he can now begin working towards getting ready for the upcoming season.

“I have good information from my doctor, and my knee is all healed up,” Miller told Ryan O’Halloran of the Buffalo News this weekend. “It’s all about me and how confident I can be [over] the next three months.”

Now, Miller is free from physical limitations and can start working toward improving his conditioning and strength in preparation for the upcoming season.

“Now I . . . need to start transitioning back into a football player and not just a guy who is rehabbing and getting my leg strong,” Miller told O’Halloran. “Hopefully I can do that for the next two months, and I’ll be ready on the third month.

“I’m going to work as hard as I can. Whether I’m ready to go in Week 1 or not, I’m at peace because I know I’m doing everything I can to have success.”

It’s a huge update for the Bills, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Miller will indeed be able to return by Week 1.
