As recently as last month, there was some doubt that Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller would be ready to play any sooner than Week 6. But now, it’s looking like he’s going to be ready to get on the field at training camp.

This week, Von Miller said that his knee is “all healed up” and that he can begin his work of returning to the field.

“I have good information from my doctor, and my knee is all healed up,” Miller told Ryan O’Halloran of the Buffalo News this weekend. “It’s all about me and how confident I can be [over] the next three months.”

Now that his knee is healed and he’s healthy, he says the next step is focusing on his conditioning and position drills to make sure he’s ready to play by the start of the season.

“Now I . . . need to start transitioning back into a football player and not just a guy who is rehabbing and getting my leg strong,” Miller told O’Halloran. “Hopefully I can do that for the next two months, and I’ll be ready on the third month.

“I’m going to work as hard as I can. Whether I’m ready to go in Week 1 or not, I’m at peace because I know I’m doing everything I can to have success.”

It sounds like he’ll be ready to go sooner than later.
