So much for the Bengals being OK with AJ McCarron as their quarterback instead of the injured Andy Dalton. McCarron hasn’t done much of anything since his 66-yard TD pass to AJ Green, and a pick-six he threw to AJ Green in the third quarter put the Bengals down 23-7 to the Steelers.

But it wasn’t the pick-six itself that was the story – it was Gay’s excessive celebration following the play. In fact, “excessive” may be under-selling it a little bit – Gay’s celebration was positively ridiculous.

Gay’s pick-six was the fifth of his career with the Steelers, tying Rod Woodson fro the most in team history. A Steelers win on Sunday would move them to 8-5, still two games back of the Bengals in the AFC North.

And yes, Gay was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.
