When the NFL decided to cancel the late-season game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals after the terrifying injury to Damar Hamlin, the league made several changes to the NFL playoff seeding – but none of them seemed to benefit the Bengals with the league seeming to be planning for an inevitable AFC title game matchup between the Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs. Cincinnati felt the disrespect, and they’re making sure everyone knows.

Leading up to Sunday afternoon’s game, Bengals running back Joe Mixon said he thought it was “disrespectful” that the league was already selling tickets to a potential Bills vs. Chiefs matchup. And when the Bengals won on Sunday, Bengals coach Zac Taylor had a hilarious message for the NFL, apologizing for ruining the league’s plans.

“It is tough because they have to formulate the plans for a coin toss, they got to formulate plans for a neutral site game and we just keep screwing it up for everybody and I hate that for them,” Taylor said after the game with a smile, according to Cleveland.com. “People to have to endure all those logistical issues and then we just keep screwing it up, so I’m sorry.”

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a similar response after the game, telling the NFL that they “better send those refunds.”
