Brett Favre used to make headlines for the amazing things he’d do on the football field. These days, he mostly makes headlines for the curious decisions he makes off of it.
Last year, Favre was accused by the state of Mississippi of taking money he received from welfare funds that should have gone to needy families. While Favre did eventually pay it back after a protracted process, he did not include interest owed in that repayment.
In April, the Green Bay Packers legend came up in a report about shady dealings concerning a drug company he invested in and financial incentives to Mississippi’s then-Governor. Soon after, the Mississippi Department of Human Services filed a civil lawsuit against various individuals or entities that reportedly took welfare money from the state, including Favre.
Favre is sure to be back in the headlines after Tuesday night as he will apparently be on Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox Nation. Favre tweeted out a photo of himself with Carlson and promoted the appearance.

“Lots of fun reminiscing and telling stories w/Tucker,” wrote Favre. “8pm eastern tonight and 7am eastern tomorrow morning on fox nation.”
Favre has appeared on Carlson’s shows before, most notably in 2021 to talk about cheese.
Favre’s appearance on the conservative show isn’t too surprising given his political stances in the past. But that doesn’t mean Twitter wasn’t ready to react to the controversial pairing and what “stories” might come out of the interview. While we await the details, the sports world had a field day reacting to the impending appearance.

To be fair, he thought “Great Replacement Theory” means the situation where that they’ve drafted a quarterback in the 1st Round even though you believe you’re still in your prime https://t.co/n9l43XQL5Y
