Caitlyn Jenner Gubernatorial recall candidate and celebrity Caitlyn Jenner speaks at the East Valley Republican Women Federated headquarters in La Quinta, Calif., on August 16, 2021. Gubernatorial Recall Candidate Caitlyn Jenner 1241

Caitlyn Jenner elected to speak out after tennis great Martina Navratilova fired shots her way.

Navratilova wasn’t a fan of Jenner’s choice to participate in an interview with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong on transgender athletes. Armstrong recently received intense scrutiny over his views on trans athletes, an opinion shared by many Conservatives. Jenner appeared on Armstrong’s podcast for the aforementioned interview.

Navratilova blasted both Armstrong and Jenner in a tweet on Sunday. The tennis great said, “A natal male who cheated in sports going to speak to a natal male to talk about other natal males competing in natal female sports. Got it. I am sure Lance will fix it.”

After that, Jenner, who also identifies as transgender, went on a multiple-tweet attack against the tennis great.

The tweet-storm was rounded out with, “How about instead @Martina use the energy to support the people fighting for laws PROTECTING WOMEN SPORTS like @SenTuberville, @RepGregSteube, @MAGAIncWarRoom, @MarshaBlackburn (@GOP) and you work on the radical leftists, you love, that wants to allow men in women’s sports!”

Navratilova previously expressed hesitance to allow trans female athletes to compete against biological women. Such an opinion would, ironically, put her on the same side as both Jenner and Armstrong, it appears. While the irritancy from Martina Navratilova towards both Caitlyn Jenner and especially Lance Armstrong being involved is somewhat understandable, the irony isn’t lost here.
