Joe Rogan ripped into supporters of former President Donald Trump on the newest episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
Rogan argued that traditional media didn’t know how to react to the untraditional and sometimes uncouth actions and statements of then-President Trump.
Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy was Rogan’s guest and agreed that it was something the media establishment struggled with.
“And the morons had a king. There’s a lot of morons,” Rogan said to make his overall point. “And it doesn’t matter what he’s saying, like, for them, he represents them.”
“‘He’s not perfect, but at least he’s real’ – like there’s that sort of thought process that he played with,” Rogan said in imitation of a Trump-supporting stereotype.
Even though Trump has spoken positively and defended Rogan in the past, Rogan went on to clearly state he is not a Trump supporter and has denied multiple requests from the former president to appear on his podcast.
“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time,” Rogan said in last July, according to Business Insider. “I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
