Former American president Donald Trump is reportedly desperate to appear on The Joe Rogan Experience, one of the most popular and influential podcasts in the world.

“The mere discussion of Donald Trump on a blockbuster podcast like Joe Rogan builds a remarkable audience,” a Trump adviser told The Daily Beast. “Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last—it would be an incredible audience.”

Rogan, for his part, recently said that he has ignored Trump’s multiple requests because he doesn’t want to “help” the former president, of whom he’s no fan.

That hasn’t stopped Trump’s cadre of advisors from plotting against Rogan in an attempt to turn the tide.

Trump and longtime “informal” advisor Roger Stone recently attended a UFC fight night. Stone has advised Trump to “attack” Rogan, hoping that his plan to “sling dirt” at Rogan would lead to Rogan “taking the bait.”

More bizarrely, Stone recently appeared on InfoWars, an internet show hosted by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, to challenge Rogan to a cage fight.

“I know I can definitely take him,” Stone told Jones.

Rogan has yet to comment on the new revelations.
