Despite charging nearly $400 for his new sneakers, Donald Trump’s new gold sneakers with red bottoms have sold out according to some news organizations.

Yet despite that, there are already questions concerning the new foot apparel. First of all, some are saying that Trump’s shoes are knockoffs and he is opening himself to lawsuits for copyright infringement.

CNN political commentator Maria Cardona, says the shoes are knockouts of designer Christian Louboutin with the signature red bottoms that he has on his shoes.

“Louboutin, who is a hugely famous top-line designer of women’s shoes … his shoes famously have a red sole,” Cardona said. “He has been in some lawsuits before where the court at the European Union, the court in India have said this red sole is a trademark of this shoe designer.”

Cardona also added.

“It would be really ironic for this thing that Donald Trump did in order to make money to pay his lawsuits to accrue yet another additional lawsuit.”

The former president just had a judgment levied against him last Friday for $355 million for fraud and he lost a defamation case against author E. Jean Carroll for $83 million.

Another issue that has come up is that the shoes won’t be delivered right away. According to Trump’s own website, it might be several months before the shoes are delivered.

From GetTrumpSneakers:

“Trump Sneakers are expected to start shipping July 2024 for the gold High-Tops, and the Potus 45 White Knit & Red Wave Knit are expected to ship in August 2024. For multiple product orders, we will attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time.

We will endeavor to charge you for all applicable sales taxes; however, it is your responsibility as the customer to report any purchases of tangible personal property that has not been taxed by us and pay the sales or use tax on those purchases unless exempt under applicable law.”

But apparently, some Trump supporters don’t seem to mind paying the high price tag for the shoes or waiting awhile for the shoes to arrive.

Trump has to find a way to pay off both lawsuits although he says he plans to appeal this latest suit but first he has to raise enough money to even file an appeal and it’s quite apparent that Trump doesn’t have the money and that he more than likely won’t b able to borrow the money from a bank because of being accuse of fraud,

But from the looks of it, Trump may be courting more lawsuits in the future.
