Herschel Walker US Senate candidate Herschel Walker speaks during a campaign stop on Wednesday November 2, 2022 in Richmond Hill, Georgia.

During his failed Senate campaign last year, Georgia Bulldogs legendary running back Herschel Walker faced some scrutiny when it was revealed that he took a tax exemption for his home in Texas that is intended only for a primary residence, implying that he lived in Texas, not Georgia. Walker corrected the issue by listing his wife’s home in Atlanta as his primary residence, but now he won’t be able to use that home anymore.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the wife of Herschel Walker is selling the house he used as his residence during his Senate campaign.

“Herschel Walker’s wife is seeking to sell the Atlanta house that the football great listed as his residence when he ran for U.S. Senate last year as a Republican,” the AP reported. “A real estate listing shows the home, which has three bedrooms and almost 3,000 square feet of living space (280 square meters), was put on the market in August with an asking price of $1.45 million.”

Obviously, this sets up a bit of a problem for Walker as he will now have to find a new property to use as his official residence in the state of Georgia if he has any plans to continue a political career in Georgia. It’s unclear whether or not he or his wife plan to purchase another property.
