While the world is still abuzz about Sunday night’s Super Bowl, a lot of the talk has been less about the game itself and more about what took place between and after.

First, let’s start with Usher. It appears that his halftime performance was a smashing success and the public loved it. His halftime show was basically like his show in Vegas, which featured special guests like H.E.R., Alicia Keys, Will I. AM,, Ludacris, and Lil Jon. Usher brought out a lot of his hits like “Yea”, “Let it Burn” and “My Boo,” just to name a few. He also brought out pole dancers and roller skates like in his Vegas residency. The Jackson State University “Sonic Boom” was also a part of the fun.

Overall, NFL fans and non-NFL fans seem to be pleased by it all.

Some fans are even already suggesting that this was one of the best halftime Super Bowl performances ever, which would be right up there with Prince, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé.

Speaking of, the other winner of the night might have to be Beyoncé. The Grammy Award winner dropped a surprise on her fans and those watching the Super Bowl, announcing that she would be dropping a new album on March 29.

That’s not the only surprise. Her new album will be a country album. And then the singer dropped two more surprises, two tracks that have already hit No. 1 and No. 2 on streaming services like Apple.

While many expected Taylor Swift to steal the show, Beyoncé might have been the one who stole the whole show with her surprise music drop.

Fans were naturally excited about the new music and look forward to the album’s release in March.

This is not the star’s first time producing a country song. On her Lemonade album, she had a single called “Daddy Lessons” which she would perform later in the year on the Country Music Television Awards (CMTs) with the Dixie Chicks (now known as just The Chicks). She brought the house down that night with her surprise performance.

Beyoncé isn’t the first R&B singer who has crossed into country, just the latest. The late Ray Charles also crossed into country music back in the 1960s and his album “Modern Sounds of Country and Western Music” was a hit.

Beyoncé using the Super Bowl to promote her new album was a genius public relations move on her part. She was able to capture not just her regular audience but a worldwide one for her new music drop. Another thing the star did was use a Verizon commercial to announce the album. Reportedly, the phone company paid her 30 million dollars but it appears that both parties have benefitted cause social media is still abuzz about not only the album but the commercial.

So while the Kansas City Chiefs may have won the game, the big winners in all of this may have been Usher and Beyoncé’s fans.
