I’ve always loved the show Sherlock. Despite only doing three episodes per season and each season taking a few years in between, it’s jam-packed with drama and suspense that the years of waiting to see what happens next is definitely worth it.

Now, the creators behind the Benedict Cumberbatch/Martin Freeman version of Sherlock Holmes is going to take on another classic as Variety reported that Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat aremaking a similar series about Dracula.

Not much has been revealed about the Dracula series, only that it would follow the similar three episode per season format as Sherlock.

What set Sherlock apart from the many other TV and movie adaptations of Sherlock Holmes is that it expertly blends in the magic of the original books written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle from the late 1800s/early 1900s with modern day technology and combine it in such a way that makes it so original than other versions.

The original Bram Stoker version of Dracula is from the same time period as Sherlock Holmes. And while Gatiss and Moffat haven’t confirmed that they will do the same and transport Count Dracula into modern-day England like Sherlock Holmes but if they do, it would make some great television.
